Summer 2011

Hello to all my artist friends

It has been a very busy and productive winter and spring. I have been working very diligently to get my paintings in galleries in Idaho and Wyoming. Check out the links in the right sidebar.

As you may know I have become more involved in social networks. I am now on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn hoping this will help me stay better connected with the art world. Click on the links below to follow me.

I am happy to say that my first DVD "Pro Landscape Painting Techniques." is selling well. It is something I have worked very hard to create. The video is a start-to-finish demonstration of techniques for creating an oil painting from a photograph.

I really enjoy teaching my weekly oil painting classes. It gives me great pride to see how my students progress from week to week. See the article below for a schedule of classes.

As of June I am starting a new service. On the second Thursday of each month I will be doing a painting demonstration and lecture from 7 - 9 p.m. at my studio - 8931 Brynwood Dr, Boise.
So bring a notebook, pen and lots of questions. This will be an evening to absorb information without the distraction of doing a painting while trying to listen to all the information.
This will be a valuable evening for students who need clarification as well as people who are thinking of taking my class and would like to see the method I teach.
The fee for these "Demo & Lecture" nights is only $10.

Enjoy your summer!

"Pro Landscape Painting Techniques"

Filmed in my studio, I demonstrate the tried and true landscape method adapted from John F. Carlson. This painting technique has been proven to gift you with the ability to paint a better landscape. It is direct and understandable for every level. I have tested it for years with his students and in workshops. Time and again the painter always goes away inspired.

"This video teaches the class I always wanted to take."
